The Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon are excited to announce the theme of HOME for the Documentary Photography Open held during February to June in the temporary exhibition gallery. The exhibition is free to enter with a public prize of £200.
Providing a platform for amateur to established contemporary photographers, the exhibition looks to celebrate the tradition of documentary photography in North Devon giving contemporary photographer’s exposure, enhancing their practice and helping to document this beautiful part of the country.
The theme of ‘Home’ has been selected for 2021 and the museum is asking photographers across North Devon to submit an image of what home means to them and their community. Although not compulsory photographers can use this year’s theme to reference the Covid-19 pandemic and the effects of lockdown.
This year due to Covid-19 restrictions we will be accepting entrees online. Successful applicant’s work will be printed and hung in the gallery by the museum team. To enter please complete the form below. Please click here to download this year’s information pack including terms and conditions.
