Community and Outreach
If your group would like to visit the museum we can offer bespoke guided or behind the scenes tours and object handling sessions by one of our team. Please contact the museum for charges and availability.
Alternatively our experienced staff are able to visit your group to present talks and objects on museum collections and themes. Outreach talks within North Devon are charged at £30 a visit. The following topics are available or contact the museum with your own request,

School Outreach Visits
Book a member of our education team to bring objects to your school on a curriculum theme or to help enrich a current education project. Our staff work with schools to build a bespoke visit and activity to suit you. Contact the museum to discuss your needs.

After Hours at the Museum – Scouts and Girl Guide Visits
Book an exciting and informative visit exploring the museum in a safe environment, free of the general public. Your group will be guided around the museum before visiting our behind the scenes stores to view the museum’s wonderful ‘hidden’ objects.
This offer is open to all youth groups as well as Scouting and Guiding groups looking for help attaining their ‘Culture’, ‘Local Knowledge’ and ‘Collecting’ badge.
The offer costs £2 a child and accompanying adults are free, your group must not exceed 30 children for health and safety reasons. For further enquiries or to make a booking please ring our team.
